In 2020, the world witnessed an unprecedented pandemic caused by the COVID-19 virus, which brought global economies to a standstill. India, being one of the most populous countries, was severely affected by the pandemic. The Indian government took swift action to contain the spread of the virus, imposing a nationwide lockdown in March 2020. Two years later, in 2022, India was still grappling with the aftermath of the pandemic. This article aims to provide an overview of the lockdown and its effects on India.
