Baahubali: The Beginning is a 2015 Indian epic fantasy film written and directed by S.S. Rajamouli. The film is set in the fictional kingdom of Mahishmati and follows the story of Amarendra Baahubali, a brave warrior who fights against the evil forces of Mahishmati.
The story follows Shivudu, a young man raised by a tribal family at the foot of a massive waterfall. Driven by an innate curiosity to see what lies above, he eventually scales the heights, discovering the kingdom of Mahishmati.
